This is a day ride leaving from Dixons creek camp, riding through the Toolangi State Forest to the Toolangi Tavern for lunch. The duration of the ride will be approximately 2 hours each way plus 1 1/2 hours for lunch. Horses will be hitched inside a secure private paddock at the lunch spot. Bring some hay band for securing your horse. Boots are advised for barefoot horses as it is rocky in some parts. 10am muster then ride out. $5.00 club members, $10.00 for visitor ATHRA members and $25.00 for visitor non ATHRA members. Don't forget lunch money. Directions: Travel along Melba Highway, through Yarra Glen, continue to Dixons Creek and when you see the Debortoli's Winery sign, prepare to turn right into Old Toolangi Rd. Continue approx. 1km and around the bend, turn right into Beach's Lane, continue across the bridge until you reach Paul's lane. Turn right and continue a few hundred metres until you reach the Dixons Creek camp. look for the MTHRC signs. Do not take Pauls Lane from Old Healesville Rd, even if your GPS says to do so, it's very steep unsuitable for floats!
