The meeting place for this trail ride is about half a kilometer down Baldrys rd from Mornington-Flinders rd. We are parking floats in a paddock and gate open at 9am there will be signs out to help you find us as as you get close to the paddock. It will cost $5 per float to park with this money going to help develop our home equestrian grounds. Trail ride debrief will be at 10am with us riding out at 10-30am. The trail is along hard gravel roads that are rocky in spots and along tracks that have clay surface and exposed tree roots. We recomend your horse is shod or has boots on or conditioned hooves for this sort of riding. On this trail you will see views of Western Port Bay across rolling hills and views of wineries with most of this trail shaded by large trees. About half way along the trail ride we will stop for a saddle bag/backpack/BYO lunch. At this stop there is trees to tie up to, but if you tie to bailing twine then you will need to bring some. This stop over spot is a open space off to the side of the road. The trail ride should take 3 to 4 hours todo. This trail ride will be ridden at a walk and trott and if conditions on the day are right we might do a controlled canter up some of the hills. Our club welcome members from other ATHRA clubs to ride with us. We are a family friendly club.
