September Ride out – Stockwell – Saturday 14September 2013

Ride Description– The ride will head out on the Kidman Trail toward Kapunda & will be up to 5 hrs long (can decide on the day to shorten if need – dependant on weather etc) so carry your saddlebag lunch just in case (hint – bananas and fruit don’t ‘do’ saddle bags very well!). Walk & some trot, mostly flat gravel roads.

Directions: Stockwell is about 45 km's east of Gawler. Unless you live up in the hills the easiest way to get there is to go up the Sturt Hwy towards Blanchetown, go past the Nuri turnoffs until you get to Wolf Blass winery. The Stockwell turnoff, on your right, is only about 1 km past Wolf Blass. Once you have turned off the highway you will have the Stockwell Rec oval on your LHS (there are toilets here and it may be a suggestion to park out front and make a quick stop as there is no toilets in the parking area further up the road. Please note – no horses allowed in this reserve).  Continue past the oval and so straight ahead to the end of the road to the Pub where the road veers right at the pub car park.  We have kindly been offered the use of the Pub car park so  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you leave the yard as clean or cleaner than you arrived as it may jeopardize future visits.

Cost:-ATHRA member $2 ride fee. Non ATHRA member riding visitor fee $25/day (please be advised that if you are not a member of ATHRA you will need to be sponsored by an ATHRA member to ride).  Please bring thecorrect change & place in tin at sign on book.
