You can arrive from Thursday onwards if you wish. We’ll be camping at the muster yards, so please be self-sufficient for a full weekend of camping for both you & your horse, including your drinking water. Horse water and long drop toilets are available, but no showers. Showers are available at the local Caravan Park, app 5 min drive if needed. Parks Victoria set out the conditions of camping at the yards,so please familiarise yourselves with the attached rules before arriving & setting up your camp.

* Horses that are known to kick MUST wear a red ribbon in their tail.
* Horses must be reasonably fit and well-shod or have suitably conditioned hooves.
* DO NOT pass the ride leader or fall behind the drag rider without his/her ok.
* Always leave one horse length in between each horse.
* Always ensure to keep the horse in front of you in sight.
* Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult and wear an approved riding helmet.
* It is the riders responsibility to inform the ride leader/organizer of any medical conditions that he/she may have.
* RCTHRC recommends that all riders have ambulance cover.
* No Stallions *
* Dogs are permitted within the the muster yards area only and must be kept on a lead & under control at all times.

$5.00 per person per day. Rider or Camper.
Please bring the correct money with you as giving change is sometimes difficult.

Get yourself to the town of Barmah (not Barham), turn north at the pub/general store into Moira-Lakes Road, follow this all the way straight through & over the bridge and into the park where it becomes Sand Ridge track – continue on until you come to the cattle/muster yards on the right. Entry gate will be sign posted.
There is no camping between the shed and the gate/fence.
2. Vegetation (either living or dead) must not be cut, cleared, removed or damaged in any way.
Barmah State Park and Barmah State Forest is a ‘carry in – carry out’ area for rubbish. All rubbish is to be removed from the park to an approved transfer station & must not be buried.
No facilities are to be moved or damaged without the permission of the Ranger in Charge, or his nominee.
The Ranger in Charge reserves the right to direct alternative access for vehicles should floodwaters, or other emergencies, make any designated areas unusable.
Vehicles are to remain on tracks at all times.
No locks or structures are to be cut or removed at any sites. Access will only be provided to sites that are open to the general public.
All fires must comply with the Forest (Fire Protection) Regulations 2004 No:77.
Dogs, Cats and Firearms are prohibited from Barmah National Park.
Event organisers must supply to Parks Victoria, prior to the event, a map showing the locations of staging / marshalling points and courses for these events.
All camps (tents, vans, etc) are to be located south of the bunkhouse. (PLEASE NOTE: use of the bunkhouse will not be permitted under any circumstances.)
The facilities (yards & kitchen) are to be maintained and kept clean at all times.
No fires to be lit in, or near the cast iron stove in the kitchen area.
Any major breakages or damages are to be reported to Parks Victoria Staff.
Horse feed is to be weed free & contained within the Muster Yards enclosure (especially hay).
Generators may be used as long as the noise level is kept low.
Parks Victoria may cancel this permit not less than forty-eight hours prior to the event should environmental conditions make the area unsafe for the event.
Parks Victoria is to be notified within four hours on 13 19 63 of any emergency on Parks Victoria managed land associated with the event that requires the services of Police or Emergency Services.
At least fourteen days prior to the event, organisers must supply to Parks Victoria a copy of the Event Emergency Management Plan.
Parks Victoria must be supplied with a copy of the event organisers current Public Liability Insurance Cover for at least $10,000,000.
