The October ride is to be led by Greg Falkiner and will be leaving from the clearing opposite Wally Pronk's property at 10am.

Directions : From Trentham township, head south along Cosmo Road towards Blackwood. You will travel pass the Police station, the cemetery and the tip. Approx 1km from town take the Old Blackwood Road (gravel road to your left), there will be KDTC signs from here. Travel to Tower Track on your right and then left into Pronk's Track and onto Wally Pronk's farm.

This ride will have a few hilly and steep areas with creek crossings which we all know and love about Blackwood riding.

You must remember to pre-nominate for this ride as we need to tell the pub how many horses are going to be tied up beside the pub and approx. numbers for meals. Meals can be ordered at the bar and prices start from $17 for a schnitzel, salad and chips up to about $30 for a premium steak.

Make sure bring along headstalls and lead ropes so that you can tie your horse up out the back of the pub, maybe a bit of hayband also. Also bring money for lunch and a drink.

This ride is for competent horses and riders able to ride up to 20km or so with walk, trot and canter on varying terrain.
