April RIDE OUT – Seppeltsfield / Barossa Winery Trail Ride– Saturday12^th April 2014

Ride description:   Travel up Hempel rd. towards Seppeltsfield onto Krieg Rd where a view of the Barossa Freeling Roseworthy Gawler Hills and on a good day the ocean can be seen.   Wide gravel roads with wide(slashed) easements to Hentley Farms cellar door . This is a High End Boutique cellar door that has to be seen, all newly renovated.  There is a tasting cover charge of $10 per person BUT a straight purchase of wine is no charge.   All other cellar doors are free.  On the road again onto a quiet windy dirt road and around to another cellar door either Barossa Valley Estate or Two hands winery depending on time then into Seppeltsfield along the only Bitumen section with enough room for horses on the side of roads and views of palm trees and the Mausoleum.  At Seppeltsfield winery stop for a late lunch (byo or buy), there is easy access toilets and a Kiosk for food and drink, lots of shady trees and lawns.  Also a Jam Factory Art Gallery as well as cellar door and more things to see.  After refreshing break back on the horse and a last leg ride out of Seppeltsfield, a view of bush vines and back to Hempel Rd.  ~ 15kms & lasting ~4hrs.  Trotting,Walking.

Directions:- Directions from Gawler heading towards Nurioopta on the Sturt Highway , Go past Lauckes Mill on left , take next exit on left that goes to Freeling, immediate right onto Old Sturt Highway rd that goes into Daveyston main st, through Daveyston under bridge onto Hempel dirt rd , first house on left with vineyard ,Lot 43.Parking in large horse paddock.
