This is a one day ride leaving Stanley Homestead, riding through undulating area of the Black Ranges, Murrundindi Shire.
This will be a saddle bag lunch and a lovely ride of approximately 3-4 hours. This ride will be a slow to medium with some opportunities for a little trot or canter.
DIRECTIONS : Coming from up Melba Highway from Melbourne from Yarra Glen, drive up Melba Highway past Glenburn Service Station, continue up the highway drive over Devlins Bridge continue along up the highway until you get to Burgess Road) and turn right (there is no road sign )(you will see an Alpaca Farm on the corner) drive down to a fork in the road, and turn left then right into Langs road(dirt road)
There will be signage
Once on Langs road follow it through to a cross road and turn right onto Limestone Road continue to drive straight (don’t via left) along until you see Alisons float on the left handside in a big clearing..
Once on Limestone road it does travel a distance you appear to not getting there but you do. It will also state its called Ginters Road further along.
If you are coming from Yea side you can go through Yea and turn left onto Limestone Road and follow it through. Until you see Alison’s float
Ride Out: 10.30 am ( allows time for people to travel)
Bring with you a cut lunch, water and anything you would like to drink.
