LD Lucey Memorial Park is available for those who would like to camp and make a weekend of it. One block of Ladies and Gents toilets will be made available and one block of Ladies and Gents showers (hot water) will be available. Horses are welcomed to be stabled on the grounds.
The Anzac Committee are putting on a barbie on Friday night at the Golf Club (at the LD Lucey Memorial Park). Burgers will be purchased. Proceeds going to the Anzac Committee and drinks proceeds go to the Golf Club.
Saturday (Anzac Day) 05:00 hours. Muster for march up to the Cenotaph. This parade does not require the horses. The march leaves from the pub corner at 06:00 hours.
For those who attend the dawn service, a gunfire breakfast is available.
Games (two-up and crown and anchor), bunker building competitions, Anzac biscuit completion judging will be held between services.
The mid-morning service will start assembling from 09:00 hours at the old Railway Station site (across from the road house). Horses will assemble there and the trucks, floats, trailers etc. will be required to be parked at Dines Park over at Limestone. This spectacular parade will commence at 10:00 hours to march up to the Cenotaph. 100 beautiful horses and one donkey (Simpson's) will be a sight to behold.
After the service, Morning tea will be served. We ask if you could bring a plate of morning tea; it would be appreciated. Of course, the Anzac biscuits, after judging, will be sampled then too.
Live music and bar all morning (except during the services).
In case you are unaware of where Dines Park is, the directions are: turn into Mica Street which is the street beside the hotel. Go to the end of Mica Street where it divides into a Y. Take the left road and follow it down and over Limestone Creek. The Dines Park can be seen on the left as come up from the Creek Crossing. This is a tar sealed road.
