 Working on a ride leaving from Mangana, can camp over night that being Friday night for those who would like . Ride on Saturday around the bush areas. Book bus to pick up willing takers to go to Mathina club for a meal and drinks Saturday night (about 30 ks from Managana) then return in the bus to Mangana camp. Depart Sunday for home. Saturday evening meal menu will not be 5 star but more like pub food.

Anyone keen to do this as a club ride?

Bus can take about 15 to 18, price will depend on numbers. Camping free at Mangana, byo food for friday evning, saturday breakfast and lunch and sunday breakfast?

Just putting out there for expresions of intrest before doing more research. I think later in the year to avoid the colder months.

SECOND POST

Mangana ride update. I have sent a request to the Mathina pub for details on prices for food, bus travel to and from Mangana on the night of the 22nd October and a description of their food on offer (this is only basic food at this point in time). The camp ground is set for a big night with the loo being booked for all to be seated. I will be asking for names of those WHO ARE GOING TO ATTEND and we will require PAYMENT FOR THE BUS PRIOR TO THE DATE, details for payment will be posted here when we sort this out. I am heading to Mangana for a pre, pre ride on Wednesday this week and to check out camp grounds. Now you have it, the heads up on what is happening and I will post more information as I find out. P.S. the camp ground is a private property and has only one long drop loo, no power will be available. Hope to be able to have camping for the Friday night, to be confirmed.

THIRD POST

UPDATE ON THE ABOVE. The Mathina pub has quoted a price of $25-00 per head for the bus ride from Mangana to Mathina and return including the evening meal. The meal will be simple, casseroles and basic sides. This price is based on 22 members catching the bus, a maximum of 22 as this is all the bus can seat. FIRST to give names and pay up front will be the ones who secure their seats. There is plenty of room for camping at Mangana, flat open paddocks with room to spread out, however you will need to provide your own horse yards for over-nighting. We have two options for a ride, 1st long around 30 ks and the 2nd around 18ks, both good safe rides on bush tracks. 1st ride (if this option is the one members like) will include a breath taking view of the Fingal valley 360 degree views and if the weather is fine you can see Mt Wellington. So please comment of your preferred ride and list your names to book a seat on the bus, we will be asking for payment prior to the ride for the bus. Over to the members, cheers Glen.
