Lyonville to Trentham Saturday 24th June 2017
Lyonville to Trentham
Saturday 24th June 2017
Ride Description
This ride will take us from Lyonville to Trentham via picturesque bushland on undulating tracks, which are great underfoot and suitable for barefoot horses. (We do recommend carrying boots just in case). There are some wonderful eateries in Trentham where you can purchase lunch, but otherwise carry your usual saddlebag lunch. The return trip to Lyonville will take us along the old rail trail, where you can expect to encounter an occasional cyclist, but that will be the extent of the challenges this ride has to offer. It is officially classified as EASY. This ride will provide a great opportunity to meet other members and have a bit off winter woolly fun.
FLOAT PARKING:
There is limited road side parking in Domino Road, Lyonville, with sufficient room to turn floats around, and room enough to park off the actual road. We ask that early arrivals park with others in mind, please park as near as you can to the rail trail entrance so that those arriving after you have room to park safely. Safety is paramount, but please do not leave large distances between floats and vehicles if possible/practical/safe. If possible horses should be tied to your float on the side furthest from the road. Please avoid tying horses immediately beside the roadway.
