River Horse Training and Trekking will be leading the ride.
River Horse is run by Erica Jessup and Kate Young who have over 55 years’ experience in horses between them. They’ve been running horsemanship, trekking and mountain trail riding clinics over the past two years and have developed a very loyal following, not just in New England but all over the country.
River Horse will also be providing all the catering including breakfasts, dinners, pack lunches and morning and afternoon teas.
Accommodation for humans is at the fully renovated, very comfortable Two Styx Platypus Cottage. Yards and water are available for your horse.
All you need to bring is bed linen, personal items and feed for your horse. It will be a true holiday away for both of you.
Schedule:
• Saturday 6th March, arrival, 3.30 - 4.30 PM warm-up ride and planning full-day rides to match level of the group
• Sunday 7th March, guided trek, 9.30 – 5.00 PM (depending on interest, Kate and Erica could run a ground work clinic before the trek on Saturday morning)
• Monday 7th March, guided trek, 9.30 – 3.00 PM depart from 3.00 PM
Accommodation is at Two Styx Platypus Cottage – a fully renovated, 4 bedroom cottage with 3 bathrooms, 4 toilets, large open dining/living area with wraparound veranda and outdoor undercover eating area.The price covers insurance and all catering, including a welcome dinner on Saturday night.
Cost: $560 (incl. GST) per person for a maximum of 12 people.A deposit of $220 (incl. GST) is required ASAP to confirm our booking with River Horse. Bookings are open to ATHRA members from NETRA or other clubs.
