An 8km ride from the Rawsonville Pony Club to the Macquarie River and return.
An 8km ride from the Rawsonville Pony Club to the Macquarie River and return.
We will ride down the Rawsonville Road from the Pony Club to Wylandra Crossing Road. The route passes by fenced open country. The road is gravel and the verges of the road are quite wide in some parts, so people can ride on the side. There is a small hill on the way where the road appears narrow due to a lot of growth on the verges. The road turns and goes past a quarry. The ride goes through a gate into a Traveling Stock Route (TSR) and follows a dirt track which winds through the remnant bushland and weeds down to the river. At the river riders will be able to have a break and maybe a splash in the river before the reverse ride back to the Pony Club for lunch followed by and a General Meeting.
N.B. D&DTHCInc. strongly recommends that all riders have Ambulance cover. An ambulance will be called if deemed appropriate by the Trail Boss, the injured member being responsible for all expenses.
