Camping on the Saturday evening is available at the Ride Base at the stock yards, which you must book prior ($5/person & $10/horse). There are a limited number of smaller stock yards available (which must be booked asap), otherwise you must bring your own yard, ie posts, hot tape and an energiser.
Ride Info:
• Please be aware that horse riding on the St Albans Common is only permitted with permission from the Common Committee, which we have obtained for this ride! There will be a small ride fee/per rider, paid to the Common Committee.
• This will be a walking ride
• The Common is approx 2500 acres
• There are large grassy flats
• Undulating to steep hills
• There are cattle, horses and water crossings on the Common • There will be a small amount of dirt road riding • There are fire trails and 4wd trails • Boots not necessary.
Ride Fee:
Member's Ride Fee: $5.00 (To be paid when signing on at the Ride Base)
Visitor Ride Fee: $25.00 - ($20.00 by making application on line via the ATHRA website - www.athra.com.au) plus $5.00 when arriving at the Ride Base. If camping there are the additional charges as noted above.
