Club Ride Sunday 8th March 2020
What started out as a chilly morning turned out to be perfect riding weather as 13 riders enjoyed a leisurely ride through Vittoria Forest at Macquarie Woods. We covered approximately 12kms of gently undulating tracks in two and a half hours and even managed to surprise Margo with some tracks she had not been on before, including one she has now named "Secret Valley"! Rain during the week leading up to the ride created lovely soft tracks with only a couple of slippery bits and plenty of green grass!
Unlike usual visits to Mac Woods, there were very few wildlife sightings. Parking was a bit tight thanks to the surprise appearance of a newly built road but we clever horse people worked it all out.
After the ride we had a wonderful lunch and thanks to Rachel's young master chefs, we even had dessert. Well done to Amanda also who did a wonderful job organising the ride.
