What a great event. We had the ANZAC biscuit bake off. “Yum O”. First place went to Katherine, Second place was Mick closely followed by runners up Denise & George. Congrats to all and we hope you enjoy the prizes. Thanks also to Narelle who "took the reins" (pardon the pun) and got this to happen.
The ride was fantastic. It was a challenge for both horse and rider as there were a number of wash outs to traverse through. The countryside in general is steep and rocky and we crossed the river twice. Another hazard to contend with was the Tiger Pear, a horrible succulent weed much like a cactus with barbed spikes that just stick to everything. We found the best way to remove them was with a pair of pliers. Hats off to Narelle (rider of the day) who faced the challenge and admirably got through it. Lunch was by the “Little River” before heading back up the hill. A big thanks also to Katherine who organized the ride.
