From the Molong Campdraft grounds to Vine Slopes, Sandy Creek Road, Molong.
CUMNOCK ROAD, MOLONG, NSW
I will be at the grounds from 9 am onwards.
Hoping to get started by 10.30 am.
There will be a float and ute out the front of the ride driven by either Lesley or myself.
The ride will be on dirt roads though some beautiful undulating country on the outskirts of Molong.
Molong Campdraft committee have given us permission to park our floats in the grounds. Once you come through the gate head around the arena and towards the trees out the back and park your float. Instead of morning tea we are having lunch and afternoon tea.
We will set off at 10.30 am for an 8.5 km ride to the Alcorn’s property, Vine Slopes. We will have lunch there – a relaxing lunch organised thanks to Lesley Staniforth.
After lunch you can continue back to the campdraft grounds or one of us can drop you off back to your float and you can come back and pick up your horse.
We are hoping then to have a small campfire and a cuppa back at the campdraft grounds. A cake will be provided by Mandy Rogers and some nibbles.
This is a fairly easy ride but I would recommend shoes if your horse usually wears them. Bring something warm to wear as there can be a cool breeze even when it is sunny.
You will need:
Camp chair to throw in my ute for lunch time and afternoon tea.
Just the usual stuff that you bring to a day ride.
Lunch will be:
Cold meats
Salads
Rolls and wraps
Can of drink or bottle or water
