Come and join the Orange Club for a lovely ride around the streets and country lanes in Canowindra to the Royal Hotel for dinner then a short night ride back to base.

Location: 3019 Canowindra Road, Canowindra
Directions: 2kms from the Canowindra Post Office on the Canowindra Road. Travel towards Cowra across the bridge. Turn right into Orton Street just before the 100 km sign. There will be balloons on the corner. Enter via the first gate on the left which will also have balloons.

Ride Description: Riding around quiet streets and country lanes in Canowindra then via the highway and through the main street to the Royal Hotel for dinner. Ride back to the Hancock’s after dinner (it will be dark)
Expected Duration: Approximately 2 hrs riding time to pub then 15 mins ride home after dinner
Challenges/Warnings: Traffic, river crossing, crossing concrete bridge, night riding, gravel roads
Horse/Rider Suitability: Riders and horses should be confident with traffic and water crossings and horses should be able to be left tied while we have dinner
Horse Equipment: Halter and lead rope. Bailing twine to tie up at the pub. Boots are recommended for unshod horses for gravel roads.
Need to Bring: PIC Number. Camping equipment and horse yards if staying overnight. Water for the rider during ride and drinks for the evening if camping. Cathy will provide breakfast for those who wish to stay for Sunday morning.
Visiting Riders: Riders from other ATHRA clubs are welcome but please let the Contact Person to let them know you are coming. Non-ATHRA riders wishing to attend need to contact the Contact Person initially, and then apply and pay for Day membership online at www.athra.com.au
Covid 19: Please do not attend if you have any Covid 19 symptoms and observe social distancing rules. Bring a mask for the pub (if that rule still applies on 12 March 2022)
