We require all new Prospective members to take out a day membership for your first ride, prior to joining our club.
After the Day ride, if you and the club feel we are good fit, we would welcome your membership.
If you purchase an ATHRA, DAY membership, then you decide to upgrade to a full membership. You will have 14 days from the date the Day Membership was purchased to convert for the discount to apply. Plus the Club Membership Fee (Currently $20 per annum)
HELLO and Welcome to South Gippsland Horse Trail Riding Club (SGHTRC) first established in January 2012 we continue to grow. Day rides, overnighters and longer are just some of our fantastic rides, fun camps and getting to know some truly wonderful people.
At the completion of our first year our Club was thriving with 30 members and is still growing today. SGHTRC caters for everyone from the beginner or nervous rider to the more advanced and confident rider. We have no age limits so if you're young or just young at heart your age is no barrier in our Club. We provide rides and events that can be enjoyed by everyone and we welcome Prospective Members, Visitors, Day Riders and even non riders to take part in all our Club has to offer.
South Gippsland Horse Trail Riding Club rides offer everyone a safe, friendly and fun environment and within our guidelines will cater to all riding experiences. Ride days take place on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
If you love to have a camp over we provide the chance as often as we can by running ride/camp weekends. We also ensure these weekends are able to be joined by those that don't fancy the camp over and still would love to come along for a day ride. SGHTRC enjoys spending time with its Members new and old, and everyone including visitors and friends from other Clubs.
SGHTRC expects everyone attending one of our events to be RESPECTFUL and CONSIDERATE of every person and horse. We work within our Club and ATHRA rules and it is our intent that all who attend our events hold this expectation as highly as we do thereby ensuring everyone can take part safely in all our Club has to offer.

In our brief but exciting past we have riden on beaches in bushland, on rails and trails, up hills and down dales. We have met an enormous amount of wonderful people and look forward to meeting more. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THE RIGHT FIT FOR OUR CLUB?
We hold monthly rides every second Sunday, our meetings are bi-monthly and we have great camps and an awesome Christmas party every year, so come along and help us to create a bigger and brighter history!
