This ride is open to Tinderry Trail Horse Riders club members, other ATHRA club members and day visitors (non members). Non-members, will be required to pay a Visiting Day Rider fee of $30, for insurance purposes.
Dogs or stallions are NOT allowed

Ride Register: |
All participants must sign the ride register upon arrival at the ride base. A parent or guardian must sign the register for junior riders (under 18)A |
Helmets: |
All junior riders (under 18) MUST wear AS/NZ 3838 or ASTM F 1163 helmets that are no more than five years old. |
Code of Conduct |
Participants MUST adhere to the ATHRA Code of Conduct which can be found at http://www.athra.com.au . |
Ride Information
Start Time: |
8:30 AM for 9:00 AM start. NO LATE STARTERS, PLEASE |
Directions: |
From Canberra, take the Monaro Highway to Michelago. Continue on the Hwy past the Michelago turn off, travel approx 1km and take the next left turn into Micalago Rd. This is a dirt road in good condition. Travel approx. 6 kms. Pass and over first cattle grid of Micalago Station. Park on flat area to the left just beyond the grid. |
Ride Description: |
An easy paced ride through open country and bushland on private land. Support vehicle will meet us for morning tea and a BBQ lunch. After the ride we’ll have a few drinks, and, if you need a Plan B, you are welcome to camp overnight at Don’s after ride. If we have enough people staying we will book a free minibus (max 10 people) to and from Bredbo Pub for dinner on Saturday night. |

Catering: |
BYO morning tea, meat to BBQ (if no fire ban), and salad or dessert/sweet to share with group. Morning tea will be carried on ride. Support vehicle will carry lunches to lunch stop. If there is a total fire ban, bring a cold lunch instead of BBQ meat. If you decide to stay at Don’s on Saturday night we will be going to Bredbo Pub for dinner. Those staying will need to bring breakfast for Sunday morning. |

Bring headstalls and lead ropes for tying or leading horses. |
Horse feed: |
Please bring your own. |
Water Availability: |
Dams and creeks on route for horses. Remember to bring water bottles for yourself on the ride to avoid dehydration. |
Horse Shoes: |
It is recommended that horses are shod. Unshod horses must be sufficiently conditioned to cope with the ride terrain and duration. If your horse is unshod we recommend that you carry hoof-boots. |
